The process of selling products online is typically very easy once you get to know the system and something that you should not make you feel daunted. I’d like to share the secret to making money from home, even part time, to make $500 per day. I like to map things out, so the blueprint for all sales pages follows the blue print pictured below.

It’s called a sales funnel, since customers are funneled into a first page, which is usually called the landing page or squeeze page. Next is the sales page and finally the order page. If you’re an affiliate marketer, then the process is even simpler. You basically just need a landing page with an opt in pop up. If you’re an affiliate marketer, never send customers (a.k.a. ‘traffic’) directly to your affiliates sales site from you traffic source, you must set up a website that then leads them to the page. If you don’t, you may get banned by Google Ads or Facebook, since they don’t like that kind of advertising on their platform.

Build Your List

The landing page collects emails, to build an email list. Building an email list is the core of online business and where most of your sales will come from. Someone who is interested in your product or service enters their name and email here for future correspondence. Once the system is set up, you have an autoresponder send out emails every day or on a set timetable that you choose. Most sales are made through this follow up system since very few buy the product up front. In fact, only about a 3 percent buy initially through your sales funnel and the other 97 percent of sales are made through your follow up emails. The beauty about this is you can set it up where it just sends emails for you automatically. For example, you just pre-create say 10 emails to be sent one day apart. You can do this in the program.

The key to emailing your list is to give them something interesting that adds value to their life, don’t just try to sell them something. Tell them a personal story about you, problems that you solved.

“Squeeze Page” Secrets

The way the landing page (a.k.a. the squeeze page) is set up to collect emails is to have a descriptive video of your offer, usually 2–3 minutes long, with sales copy below it. The ‘click here’ button then makes a pop-up menu appear where it asks for their first name and email. And poof, you’ve collected an email. The fortune is in the follow up. Therefore, the key to success is to grow your email list as large as you can.

The landing page video basically showing people a solution to an issue. For example, you can say something like: tired of your nine to five, learn how you can do XYZ dollars and XYZ time leveraging this training. And show the training.

Find Your Product Passion

As an affiliate, we don’t make our own product. You just need to find a product that you have a passion for to promote. If you don’t know where to start, go to clickbank.com for thousands of products to promote in the marketplace.

Do you have a skill you can teach? You can create a course and sell it online. It is considered a digital product.

Make Commissions Selling Online

Typically, commissions for sales range from 50–80% of the sales price. Additionally, you don’t have to deal with any kind of customer service. You don’t have to worry about returns or anything like that. For example, if I sell something for $1000, I can earn anywhere between 500 to $800, right? So, $500 for $1000 product, which would be a digital product, like a course. A physical product, like e-commerce will have less commissions, usually in the 25–30% range.

Let’s say you’re promoting a $200 product. Your page promotes it and they click on your link. You are given a special coded link from the seller or click bank so that when they go to the seller’s page, it will know it came from you and that is how you get your commission. It’s called an affiliate link. Knowing that only 3% of sales are made up front, every 100 people that go through your sales funnel will give you 3 sales. 3 sales at $200 each is $600, and at a 50% commission that is $300 in up-front sales.

Use Your List

You also collect 100 emails, right? You’ve collected 100 emails from traffic sources like YouTube, Facebook or blogs. People usually buy on the back end through your email system. Sometimes it can take about 8 emails for them to pull the trigger. So 97% of your sales are going to come from your email. In your email list you might be getting another three sales a day, so you can easily be making anywhere between $200 to $500. Once you’re dialed in, you can make that type of money. Obviously, I can’t guarantee it, but it is possible.

Once you dial this in, the skies the limit. Just keep working on growing the email list, have the autoresponder emails to go out at the right time, and it’s all just tweaking and adding content to your traffic sources from there.

Get Traffic To Your Site

Getting traffic to your sales funnel is the key to growing your list, which is the key to success. That, and your mindset.
